Profane, Offensive, and Great

The Philadelphia Inquirer has an interesting story about the censorship of certain books, most notably, due to J.D. Salinger's recent death, The Catcher in the Rye (the Russian published cover is pictured above). It talks about the evolution of banning Salinger's book. Originally, censors took umbrage with the language. That has since changed as the Christian right has grown.
